The Farm Bill Uprooted Podcast Series

Source: IATP

Every five years, Congress comes together to pass a major omnibus bill called the Farm Bill, which sets the course for our food and agriculture systems in the United States. 2023 is a Farm Bill year. In a new podcast series, hear from policy experts, farmers and advocates about how the Farm Bill works, how it has shaped our current food system (for better or for worse) and how we can start to fix it.

Throughout the series, you’ll hear from IATP’s Lilly Richard, Michael Happ, Dr. Steve Suppan, Karen Hansen-Kuhn, Erin McKee VanSlooten and Ben Lilliston. You’ll also hear from Dr. Silvia Secchi, University of Iowa; Kate Hansen, Center for Rural Affairs; Margaret Krome-Lukens, RAFI-USA; Ray Jeffers, RAFI-USA; Marcus Grignon, Rural Coalition; Elston Tortuga, Iowa Interfaith Power and Light; and more.
