Tennessee’s “Lettuce Vaccine” Bill: What You Need to Know About HB1894
Congress made adding drugs to food illegal in 2007, but open air tests have contaminated food crops since the 2002 ProdiGene scandal. HB1894 does nothing. Demand a ban on testing pharma crops instead. March 5, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association All of this talk in the mainstream media about the Tennessee legislature’s fight against the “lettuce vaccine” is much ado about nothing—but not because vaccines in our food supply isn’t a real threat, as the “fact-checkers” would have you believe. Edible vaccines might not be approved for the produce aisle yet, but we’ve known that pharmaceuticals and vaccines are grown in food crops—and are contaminating the U.S. food supply—since 2002 when news broke of the ProdiGene scandal. (More on that below.) Congress made adding drugs to food illegal in 2007. In Section 912 of the Food and Drug Administration Amendments Act of 2007, “Prohibition against food to which drugs or biological products have been added,” Congress forbade adding pharmaceuticals, including vaccines, to food unless the FDA “has issued a regulation, after notice and comment, approving the use of such drug or such biological product in the food.” The FDA never created a process for this, so no pharmaceutical food has ever been commercialized, but many have been tested. Pharmaceuticals and vaccines might not be added to food legally, but they are contaminating food illegally. Subscribe Donate Take Action Even though Congress made adding drugs to food illegal, it continues fund research that could contaminate the food supply. On November 14, 2023, Congressman Thomas Massie (R-KY), got the House to vote “unanimously to stop funding transgenic edible plant vaccines [see below], but that prohibition was left out of the new omnibus. So your taxpayer dollars will be funding edible plant vaccines, if the enormous spending bill passes this week,” he tweeted on March 4, 2024. Amendment No. 115 Offered by Mr. Massie The Acting CHAIR. It is now in order to consider amendment No. 115 printed in part B of House Report 118-272. Mr. MASSIE. Madam Chair, I have an amendment at the desk. The Acting CHAIR. The Clerk will designate the amendment. The text of the amendment is as follows: At the end of the bill (before the short title), insert the following: Sec. __. None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to fund any grant related to any transgenic edible vaccine. The Acting CHAIR. Pursuant to House Resolution 864, the gentleman from Kentucky (Mr. Massie) and a Member opposed each will control 5 minutes. The Chair recognizes the gentleman from Kentucky. Mr. MASSIE. Madam Chair, I rise in support of my amendment, which states: ``None of the funds made available by this Act may be used to fund any grant related to any transgenic edible vaccine.'' Madam Chair, does the term transgenic edible vaccine sound like something out of a science fiction dystopian novel? Does the term
Nazi Coal Butter
The world's first synthetic food. March 5, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association If you’ve seen my timeline of the plot to replace real farms with synthetic Frankenfood, you known that the first synthetic food was coal “butter” invented in 1937 and used by the Nazi’s to feed their U-boat crews. The illustration on this slide is from a 1935 photo collage by John Heartfield, an anti-fascist German artist. It’s called “Hurrah, There’s No Butter Left!” and satirizes the words of Hermann Goering who said, “Iron has always made an empire strong. Butter and lard have only made the people fat.” Subscribe Donate Take Action I first heard about the Nazi’s coal “butter” reading the article, “Ultra-Processed Food: how it’s making you sick and unhappy” by Andrea Hill where she wrote: Ultra-processed food doesn’t start with food and add something to it, it starts with chemicals. I really grasped this when I read the example of ‘butter’ made for the Nazi regime in the 1938. Two scientists at the Kaiswer Willhelm Institute found a way to create fuel from coal. It left a waste product: paraffin. A man called Arthur Imhausen was working on turning that waste paraffin into soap, when he realised that chemically soap is a lot like fat. By adding glycerine the scientists could produce an edible fat instead of soap. The trouble was this fat was white, tasteless and waxy, so nobody in their right minds would have eaten it. A easy problem to fix if you’re a chemist: they added diacetyl to create a buttery taste, salt and beta-carotene for colour and created the first ever totally synthetic food. Now lots of right minded people eat all sorts of ‘butter products’ happy that those industrially manipulated chemicals make it magically spread straight from the fridge. Top tip: do what your grandmother did, buy real butter and keep it in a butter dish in the cupboard. Nazi coal “butter”?! I suspected there was a connection to I.G. Farben, the conglomerate that Bayer, which merged with Monsanto in 2018, was part of during World War II, and indeed there was. Coal “butter" inventor Arthur Imhausen was half-Jewish (by his mother), but he was shepherded into Nazi circles by Wilhelm Keppler, founder of a group of German businesses that funded Hitler's rise to power, including I.G. Farben, known as the Keppler Circle. Keppler was chairman of the board of two I.G. Farben subsidiaries: Braunkohle-Benzin A.G. and Kontinental Oil A.G. When Imhausen opened his coal “butter” factory Deutsche Fettsäure-Werke in Witten in 1936, Keppler arranged for Hermann Göring to attend the ceremony. To deal with Imhausen’s Jewishness, Keppler and Göring went straight to Adolph Hitler. In a letter dated the 18th In June 1937, Keppler reported to Göring that he had discussed Imhausen with “the Führer and he said that if the man really invented the thing, then we will make him an Aryan.” In July 1937,
Timeline of the Efforts to Replace Dairy Farms with SynBio “Milk” Proteins Goes Back to 1894!
Got Milk? Nope, It's Fungus! Archer Daniels Midland & Bayer Want Us to Drink SynBio "Milk" with 92 Compounds Humans Have Never Eaten Before! February 26, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association TAKE ACTION: Ban New GMO Frankenfoods Made with Synthetic Biology! National Public Radio calls it a conspiracy theory, but there’s no denying that the World Economic Forum has been promoting eating insects as part of its Great Reset. https://youtu.be/zKvXtUHyZZ0 Subscribe Donate Take Action Obviously this is real and even government funded, but it's a distraction from synthetic biology, aka precision fermentation, which is the most profitable monopoly-controlled technology of the Great Reset of food and farming. As bad as cricket farming is, it's low-tech and requires human beings to manage. Production could be decentralized and local. The most powerful World Economic Forum company in food and agriculture is Monsanto (now Bayer). It has long been implementing a controlled demolition of the profession of farming in favor of a single, high-tech system that can be controlled on a global scale. When Bayer ran Auschwitz "for Hitler" as I.G. Farben's largest factory, one of its products was "butter" made from coal. This is what U-boat sailors subsisted on. Currently, their favorite synthetic food production model is the genetic engineering of microbes like yeast, fungi and E. coli to produce small molecules (proteins and nutrients) for highly processed Frankenfoods like "non-animal" whey and egg protein. The dairy and egg industries are the first two agriculture sectors slated to be wiped out, dairy farmers by crushing debt and "environmental" regulations, and egg farmers by the bird flu. It is fascinating to me that Metabiota, one of the bioweapons defense contractors involved in the creation of the pandemic virus (the other being EcoHealth Alliance), after being linked to Joe Biden and Ukraine labs through Hunter's laptop, was absorbed by Ginkgo Bioworks, Bayer's synbio partner in this plot to replace real food with the synthetic products of genetically engineered microbes. And, that Bayer's favorite spokesperson for this brave new world is George Church, a scientist funded by Jeffrey Epstein and DARPA, who gave an Edge Masterclass for colleagues including Metabiota's Nathan Wolf and Google's Larry Page, at Elon Musk's Space X. These guys aren't going to run the world on crickets. They're going to run it on an automated and robotic system where artificial intelligence designs genetically engineered microbes as factories for the production of synthetic food, medicine, chemicals and fuel. The U.S. Department of Agriculture that might fund crickets, but it's the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) that's been funding what will ultimately be the Great Reset's choice Soylent Green: using microbes to turn waste into fuel. Archer Daniels Midland is the company that gave us textured vegetable protein, high-fructose corn syrup, trans fats and other unhealthy vegetable oils—all made from Monsanto’s Roundup Ready crops genetically engineered to be soaked in toxic glyphosate-based herbicides. Now, they’re partnering with Perfect Day, New Culture and Ginkgo
Why Is Blocking the Sun Being Quietly Normalized?
February 21, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association Officially, there’s an international moratorium on attempts to block the sun, as well as a U.N. Environmental Modification Convention, but rogue “Greenfinger” billionaires like Bill Gates have continued their dangerous experiments. Since the Vietnam War’s Project Popeye scandal, the U.S. government has positioned the Pentagon’s weather modification work and DARPA funding as countering the potential “security threat” geoengineering posed. Recently there’s been a shift. The U.S. has begun to normalize solar geoengineering as a “climate solution.” In 2021, the National Academies of Sciences issued a report calling for a $200 million 5-year investment in solar geoengineering research, and in 2023 President Biden released a solar radiation modification (SRM) framework, claiming that “SRM offers the possibility of cooling as the planet significantly on a timescale of a few years.” Around the same time, the European Union floated “a potential international framework” for solar geoengineering. Subscribe Donate Take Action Meanwhile, climate-profiteering corporations are lobbying for solar geoengineering to be included in the offset market being negotiated under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. Even “environmental” non-profit advocacy groups are in on it! The Environmental Defense Fund (EDF)’s official position on geoengineering is that, “Deliberate climate interventions such as albedo modification should not be undertaken for the foreseeable future as they present serious ecological, moral and geopolitical concerns.” But, EDF has publicly supported research into geoengineering since 2010, when it co-founded the Solar Radiation Management Governance Initiative with the Royal Society and The World Academy of Sciences. In early 2024, Climate Wire reported that EDF organized a private two-day meeting of climate scientists, environmental activists and philanthropists “to prepare for an expected surge of Silicon Valley funding related to last-ditch measures for slowing global warming.” What is solar geoengineering? According to Dr. Chukwumerije Okereke, director of the Center for Climate Change and Development at Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Nigeria, in his New York Times essay, “My Continent Is Not Your Giant Climate Laboratory”: The solar engineering technology attracting the most attention would use balloons or aircraft to spray large quantities of aerosols — tiny particles of, for example, sulfur dioxide or engineered nanoparticles — into the stratosphere to dim the sunlight. It’s called solar radiation management and it’s highly speculative. … Other proposed techniques include covering deserts with plastic; genetically engineering plants to have brighter, more reflective leaves; creating or making clouds whiter; and deploying millions of mirrors in space. The point of all of them is to counter warming by reducing the amount of sunlight reaching the planet and reflecting it back to the stratosphere. … These technologies would also theoretically need to be deployed essentially forever to keep warming at bay. Stopping would unleash the suppressed warming of the carbon dioxide still accumulating in the atmosphere in a temperature spike known as “termination shock.” One study found that the
Why Are Bees Dying? Because of Bayer’s Business Model.
February 13, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association In the 1980s, Bayer invented synthetic neonicotinoid compounds that could be applied to the seed of a plant and remain effective for the plant’s entire lifespan. By 2004, Bayer had agreements with the top genetically modified seed companies to coat their seeds with massive amounts of neonics. By 2007, 80 percent of the corn seed sold by market-leader Pioneer (Monsanto’s rival-cum-partner) was treated with Bayer’s clothianidin-based Poncho. By 2008, Colony Collapse Disorder was a worldwide problem. Today, nearly all corn seeds and about half of soybean seeds are coated in neonics. Bayer takes advantage of the fact that, in the US, seed treatments aren’t regulated as pesticides. Seed treatments used to be measured in overall neonic use, but the US Geological Survey started leaving them out in 2014. That’s crazy, because just one corn seed can hold enough neonics to kill a quarter-million bees! This is what’s causing honey bee colony losses. In the 2022-2023 season, commercial beekeepers saw a mortality rate of 48.2 percent in their hives, almost as bad as the 2020-2021 season with the highest loss rate ever reported (50.8%). Subscribe Donate Take Action What began with the collapse of bee colonies has become a full-on insect apocalypse that scientists say is “tearing apart the tapestry of life”, devastating bird populations, harming deer and rabbits, impacting human health and threatening the future of foods that rely on pollinators. The U.S. agricultural landscape is now 48 times more toxic to bees than it was 25 years ago and crop yields for apples, cherries and blueberries are already being reduced by a lack of pollinators. New York State made history in 2023 when Governor Kathy Hochul signed the Birds and Bees Protection Act to ban neonicotinoid (neonic) coatings on corn, soybean and wheat seeds. The National Caucus of Environmental Legislators has stepped up to address the crisis with legislation to restrict the use of bee-killing neonic insecticides . Across the country, bills to ban, restrict or regulate neonics have been introduced in 23 states and passed in Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont. Most of these laws target home lawn and garden use, but the victory in New York is inspiring action targeted at the larger problem of agricultural use. In 2024, Vermont is the state to watch, with lawmakers there considering a ban. TAKE ACTION: Tell your state legislators to ban neonic seed treatments! Related Posts
The Matrix Is Here. Have You Already Plugged In Without Realizing It?
February 7, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association How did everybody end up in the Matrix? They plugged themselves in. One day they were using it to connect with friends, work, shop online, read the news and watch movies. The next thing they knew, they were trapped and couldn’t get out. They refused to line up for brain surgery, but happily bought virtual reality goggles, smartwatches that measured biometric data and brain-training “neurofeedback” headsets. Brain surgery? Never. Non-invasive mind control device? Sure, if it makes life a little easier! Let’s plug in the kids! They thought that if they weren’t actually plugged in physically, they could leave anytime. The trouble is, they underestimated the mind-control powers the corporations would have over them simply by monitoring and responding to their brainwaves and emotional states as they learned, worked and played online. The algorithms played each person like a fiddle, able to accurately predict and then subtly alter each decision, while always keeping up the illusion of free choice. Most of the “technology” used to do this was the old-school Cambridge Analytica method, the same employed in advertising and confidence tricks. But, the ability to merge behavioral data with realtime biometrics and brainwaves trained the algorithms to accomplish human goals with machine-like precision. It was like when humans taught computers to play chess; the ability to quickly compute every possibility made them invincible! So, why are we hearing so much about Neuralink brain surgery? Could it be a psyop? It certainly got my attention! Subscribe Donate Take Action My heart broke and a shiver went up my spine when I heard about “Animal 21.” The day after this female rhesus macaque had Elon Musk’s Neuralink drilled into her skull, “she lost coordination and balance, experienced paralysis in both legs and was suffering from ‘depression.’ The day after that, she was seen ‘gasping/retching’ and ‘collapse[d] from exhaustion/fatigue.’ When staff finally euthanized her and conducted a necropsy, they discovered BioGlue was ‘covering and compressing a large area of the left cerebrum’ and blood had built up on the surface of her brain.” And yet, in May 2023, the Food & Drug Administration approved Neuralink’s request for permission to pursue human trials! On January 29th, Elon Musk tweeted that “The first human received an implant from Neuralink yesterday and is recovering well.” The news hasn’t been independently confirmed by Neuralink, so Musk’s tweet might just be hype targeted at investors or aimed at making money off a future IPO. With all the buzz about this, I was surprised to learn that other companies already implanted brain-computer interfaces in humans long before Musk tweeted, including Synchron, Blackrock Neurotech, Precision and Motif. According to the Daily Beast, “Neuralink was beaten to human trials by numerous other neurotechnology competitors such as Synchron, which successfully implanted its brain-computer interfaces in a human using a much-less invasive procedure.” CNBC
Fauci Admits COVID’s Origin May Be Lab as WEF Preps for “Disease X”
January 16, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association Now that Anthony Fauci isn’t running the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases anymore, and is no longer doling out grants for “gain-of-function” bioweapons research, he’s no longer dismissing the idea that SARS-CoV-2 came from a lab. Meanwhile, corporate and government leaders meeting in Davos at the annual meeting of the World Economic Forum this month are “Preparing for Disease X.” Subscribe Donate Take Action Fauci Admits COVID May Have Originated in a Lab On January 10, the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic Chairman Brad Wenstrup (R-Ohio) reported from the subcommittee’s two-day closed-door transcribed interview with Dr. Fauci that: Dr. Fauci acknowledged that the lab leak hypothesis is not a conspiracy theory. This comes nearly four years after prompting the publication of the now infamous “Proximal Origin” paper that attempted to vilify and disprove the lab leak hypothesis; and Dr. Fauci played semantics with the definition of a “lab-leak” in an attempt to cover-up the inaccurate conclusions of “Proximal Origin.” It is impossible for Dr. Fauci to defend the conclusion of this publication while simultaneously acknowledging that a lab-leak is possible. COVID doesn’t have a natural origin. SARS-CoV-2 wasn’t found in the farms that stocked the Wuhan wet market, and it has never been found in the wild anywhere in the world. Virus hunters like Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance are still out there claiming to be looking for the natural origin of SARS. On January 9, 2024, Daszak presented at a World Health Organization event. (Here are his slides and a video of the session.) He claimed to have found, in Thailand, a new bat virus very closely related to SARS-CoV-2. Naturally, he took it back to the lab to study how well it infected human cells. What could go wrong?! He didn’t say whether he shared it with Ralph Baric, the scientist infamous for his “no-see’em” “gain-of-function” genetic engineering techniques for weaponizing pathogens. Gain-of-function research continues around the world. In China, scientists published a study on January 4, 2024, where they infected humanized mice with a mutant pangolin coronavirus that infected the brain. Every single mouse died. (Here’s a video from Dr. John Campbell on the risks of this kind of “gain-of-function” bioweapons research. The World Economic Forum is Preparing for Disease X “With fresh warnings from the World Health Organization that an unknown ‘Disease X’ could result in 20 times more fatalities than the coronavirus pandemic, what novel efforts are needed to prepare healthcare systems for the multiple challenges ahead?” That’s the description of a January 17 session at the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos entitled “Preparing for Disease X” sponsored by the WEF’s Collaborative Surveillance Initiative. When the WEF says it’s preparing for “Disease X,” we should pay close attention, remembering that, in October 2019, the World Economic Forum was one of the
Bayer’s Modified Soil Microbes Could Trigger a GE Doomsday
January 3, 2024 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association Bayer’s modified soil microbes could trigger a genetically engineered doomsday for agriculture. Is that what Bayer wants? If you don’t like the toxic pollution from industrial agriculture’s synthetic nitrogen fertilizers and pesticides, Bayer and its partner Ginkgo Bioworks have a solution for you: They say they’re going to swap out some of the old fossil-fuel-based agrochemicals for genetically engineered microbes. We’re no fan of pesticides and synthetic fertilizers, but let’s not jump from the frying pan into the fire! The uncontrolled spread of genetically engineered microbes could contaminate soil on such a vast scale that it could be the end of farming! Subscribe Donate Take Action You don’t have to take our word for it, just read Ginkgo’s own report to the Securities and Exchange Commission. It’s like a sci-fi writer’s brainstorm of plots for a disaster movie: “The release of genetically modified organisms or materials, whether inadvertent or purposeful, into uncontrolled environments could have unintended consequences… “The genetically engineered organisms and materials that we develop may have significantly altered characteristics compared to those found in the wild, and the full effects of deployment or release of our genetically engineered organisms and materials into uncontrolled environments may be unknown. In particular, such deployment or release, including an unauthorized release, could impact the environment or community generally or the health and safety of our employees, our customers’ employees, and the consumers of our customers’ products. “In addition, if a high profile biosecurity breach or unauthorized release of a biological agent occurs within our industry, our customers and potential customers may lose trust in the security of the laboratory environments in which we produce genetically modified organisms and materials, even if we are not directly affected. Any adverse effect resulting from such a release, by us or others, could have a material adverse effect on the public acceptance of products from engineered cells and our business and financial condition… “We could synthesize DNA sequences or engage in other activity that contravenes biosecurity requirements, or regulatory authorities could promulgate more far-reaching biosecurity requirements that our standard business practices cannot accommodate, which could give rise to substantial legal liability, impede our business, and damage our reputation. “The Federal Select Agent Program (“FSAP”), involves rules administered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service that regulate possession, use, and transfer of biological select agents and toxins [a euphemism for bioweapons] that have the potential to pose a severe threat to public, animal, or plant health or to animal or plant products. …[W]e could err in our observance of compliance program requirements in a manner that leaves us in noncompliance with FSAP or other biosecurity rules. … “Third parties may use our engineered cells materials, and organisms and accompanying production processes in ways that could damage our reputation. “…[W]hile
2023 Was the Year…
December 27, 2023 | by Alexis Baden-Mayer Organic Consumers Association …We Stayed Committed to Peace On October 7, 2023, when the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict erupted, we renewed our commitment to dismantling the military-industrial complex and ending wars of empire by signing the World Beyond War peace pledge which reads: “I understand that wars and militarism make us less safe rather than protect us, that they kill, injure and traumatize adults, children and infants, severely damage the natural environment, erode civil liberties, and drain our economies, siphoning resources from life-affirming activities. I commit to engage in and support nonviolent efforts to end all war and preparations for war and to create a sustainable and just peace.” On December 22, President Joe Biden authorized a record $886 billion in Pentagon spending when he signed Congress’s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), one of the few major pieces of legislation Congress passes every year. (Case in point, Congress was supposed to rewrite the Farm Bill this year, but instead legislators procrastinated by passing a 1-year extension.) About $60 billion of that goes straight to for-profit military contractors, proving what General Smedley Butler said nearly a hundred years ago, that war is a racket. As Andrew Cockburn chronicled in his 2021 book, The Spoils of War, military spending is driven by military contractors. Stephen Semler, cofounder of Security Policy Reform Institute, exposed the NDAA as corporate welfare and called out its Foreign Military Financing program as “a multibillion-dollar gift card for non-US countries to buy weapons from US firms.” According to Semler, the NDAA includes “$1.7 billion in FMF money for Ukraine, $3.5 billion for Israel (on top of the $3.3 billion it receives annually), and $2 billion for countries in the Indo-Pacific region as part of the administration’s aggressive China policy.” War is paid for with our tax dollars, but it goes without saying that there are greater costs, the most heartbreaking being the people killed, injured and traumatized. There are also tolls on our privacy and freedom. The NDAA included a four-month extension of the National Security Agency (NSA)’s infamous warrantless domestic surveillance program, known as Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA). A cost of war that’s rarely mentioned is its impact on food security and farming. Since October 7, Israel has suspended work permits for about 130,000 Palestinian farm workers from the occupied West Bank. On December 18, Human Rights Watch said that the Israeli government was using starvation as a weapon of war against civilians in the Gaza Strip, which is a war crime. On December 26, Palestine’s Foreign Ministry said that more than a million people in Gaza are starving and called on the United Nations to officially declare a famine. The day before, on December 25, the Food Industries Association of Israel stated that approximately 90 percent of Israel's food production is located in conflict zones and urged the government to act to prevent a food
