La Tierra del Jaguar

La Tierra del Jaguar was grown from need. Witnessing firsthand how conventional agricultural practices were degrading our community and threatening the jaguar, the La Tierra team addresses where the literal root of the problem begins, the SOIL.

Our solution to human and jaguar coexistence involves the application of regenerative systems to restore jaguar habitat and improve financial stability of rural communities. Our socio-ecological approach to jaguar conservation involves the application of low-tech, process-based restoration (LTPBR) structures, paired with agave agroforestry and regenerative agriculture systems that support economic development and regenerate ecosystems while strengthening community resilience across the watershed and beyond.

Our project has symmetry with the Jaguar 2030 Conservation Roadmap for the Americas, an initiative to strengthen cooperation, mitigate human-wildlife conflict, and stimulate development opportunities that support the well-being of communities coexisting with this species. We are also in sync with the U.N. Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a global movement to protect and revive ecosystems, counteract climate change, ramp up restoration, and stop the collapse of biodiversity.

We regenerate nature & community in the land of the JAGUAR!
