COMMUNITY

Local: A Story of Hope

Organic and green-minded regenerators and rebels all over the world are realizing that positive, localized grassroots education, movement building, and alternative economies, especially organic and regenerative food and farming, are the most practical and strategic steps we can take to move beyond our current suicide economies and take back power from Big Ag, Big Data, Big Government, Big Pharma, Big Media, and the military-industrial complex.

Watch this seven-minute video by our friends at Local Futures to inspire you to take strategic action in your local community: LOCAL: A Story of Hope

ENOUGH MOVEMENT

Introducing the Enough Movement: Are You In?

OCA and our collaborators, including the Alliance for Natural Health and Millions Against Medical Mandates, are getting behind the new Enough movement because we believe that we have a tremendous opportunity in the midst of our current Crisis to create a better world; and that the future is all about empowered community action arising from a common sentiment and united purpose with the highest respect for people and planet. ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Creating a global community of ‘heroic bystanders‘ is essential if we are to emerge from the crippling cognitive dissonance that exists and put an end to these crimes against humanity. Are you joining us?

BOYCOTT BIG MEAT

Industrial Meat and Dairy Are Fueling the Climate Crisis

If we’re going to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions and solve the climate crisis, conscious consumers will have to boycott factory-farmed meat and animal products and shift to products that are locally or regionally produced, organic, and regenerative.

At the same time, we must lobby and campaign for policy reform and public and private investments that promote organic and small family farm-based producers.

SUPPORT OCA & CRL

People Power

It takes people power to face down the “Bigs” in today’s climate of Big Ag, Big Pharma, Big Tech, etc. With the help of people power, we can look injustice, callousness, and greed in the face, and demand better for ourselves, for our families, and for our futures.

Thousands of people stood up for their principles, and gave support to us over the last month.

But we still need your help.

As the “Bigs” continue to rise, we are stretched even thinner than before. Both in activists, and in funds.

If you have friends or family that would benefit from the information, please direct them to subscribe to our weekly Organic Bytes Newsletter.

If you are able, please consider making a donation at this time. A critical portion of our funding comes from small donations, from individual supporters.

Thank you for your support.

FOOD SUMMIT

OCA and Regeneration International Organizing Global Food Summit on World Food Day, October 16

The United Nations Food Systems Summit scheduled for Sept. 23 has been hijacked by corporate agribusiness and the pesticide/GMO cartel, so we are broadcasting a peoples’ summit to promote organic and regenerative food systems.

Regeneration International, in conjunction with the Organic Consumers Association, The Global Alliance for Organic Districts, IFOAM Asia, Navdanya, the International Network of Eco Regions, Savory Hub Africa, Via Organica, The League of Organic Municipalities and Cities and BERAS International will be hosting the People’s Food Summit on World Food Day, October 16, this year.

The Summit will be a 24 hour global, participatory, virtual summit that will start in Oceania, and move westwards through the time zones of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Latin America and North America.

We will have speakers from every continent to present the truly good news about organic and regenerative systems–including Vandana Shiva, Ronnie Cummins, Andre Leu, Precious Phiri, and others, with panels, discussions and other live events as well as videos and music from every region of the world.

NYT Reports on OCA and Allies’ Lawsuits to Stop Labeling Fraud

The New York Times writes:

“Shoppers drawn to sustainable, humanely raised meat and dairy products could be forgiven for thinking the nation’s big food companies have turned away from the industrial farming practices that have long dominated American agriculture. Consider the package labels and marketing claims for some of the country’s best known brands: Cargill turkeys are sourced from “independent family farmers,” Sargento cheeses contain “no antibiotics” and Tyson uses “humane and environmentally responsible production” to raise its chickens while providing workers “a safe work environment.”

“But some claims may not be what they seem, according to a flurry of litigation by advocacy groups seeking to combat what they describe as a surge in deceptive marketing by food giants.”

Wuhan Institute of Virology in Wuhan China
COVID ORIGINS

New Details Emerge on Coronavirus Research at Wuhan Lab

The Intercept “provides new details of U.S.-funded research on several types of coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. Intercept obtained more than 900 pages of documents detailing the work of EcoHealth Alliance, a U.S.-based health organization that used federal money to fund bat coronavirus research at the Chinese laboratory.

The documents include two previously unpublished grant proposals that were funded by the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, (led by Dr. Fauci) as well as project updates relating to EcoHealth Alliance’s research, which has been scrutinized amid increased interest in the origins of the pandemic.”

REGENERATIVE AG

Is the Future of Big Dairy Regenerative?

OCA and our sister organization, Regeneration International, are strong proponents of food, farming, animal husbandry, and land use practices that are organic, regenerative, equitable, and climate-friendly.

But now some of the world’s largest dairy companies claim they are moving to regenerative agriculture to produce the grain they feed their animals. (Of course dairy cows are herbivores, and shouldn’t be eating grains at all, they should be grazing on pasture.)

Critics, including OCA, maintain that Big Dairy’s new “regenerative” practices will simply enable them to continue their industrial, chemical, and energy-intensive approach to food and farming, and amount to little more than greenwashing.

POLITICAL HYPOCRISY

The Anniversary of 9/11 is a Great Day to Reflect on Republican (and Democratic Party) Hypocrisy

While President Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Dr. Fauci, and the Democrats work overtime to censor free speech and curtail our basic constitutional rights, with forced vaccinations, vaccine passports, arbitrary masking and social distancing, and damaging restrictions on small businesses and everyday activities, using as their excuse the so-called “War on COVID,” Matt Taibbi reminds us that the Republicans, recently reborn as defenders of our rights, previously “set the Constitution on fire and cheered America’s march toward authoritarianism,” using the excuse of the bogus and ultimately disastrous “War on Terror.”
