The organic marketplace reached a significant milestone in 2024, growing to nearly $72 billion—with food sales accounting for $65.4 billion and non-food products contributing $6.2 billion, according to the Organic Trade Association. This growth comes after two challenging years of managing high inflation and recalibrating supply chains following the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re seeing better growth in organic than in non-organic or conventional,” says Sherry Frey, vice president, total wellness at NIQ. This trend reflects consumers’ increasing prioritization of health and wellness for themselves and their families, driving demand for cleaner ingredients.
