Giant Donald Trump Banner Outside of Agriculture Department Draws 1984 and Big Brother Comparisons

President Donald Trump’s administration has erected a large banner on the United States Department of Agriculture building beside founder and former President Abraham Lincoln, drawing attention and harsh comparisons on social media.
Thursday, May 15, marked the 163rd anniversary of the USDA, after Lincoln founded the agency to “provide leadership on food, agriculture, natural resources, rural development, nutrition, and related issues based on public policy, the best available science, and effective management,” per the official website.
Just one day before the milestone date, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins tweeted in support of the banner and Trump.
