From the Earth to Your Soul

In this deeply personal talk, Rosana reflects on what has been lost and what can still be reclaimed. Through her work in regenerative agriculture, she explores the power of growing food without pesticides, restoring soil health, and honoring natural cycles in a region increasingly challenged by water scarcity. In a landscape marked by drought and environmental pressure, choosing to work with the earth instead of against it becomes an act of courage. It becomes a commitment to future generations. From seasonal orchards to water conservation, Rosana invites us to rethink nourishment because when we reconnect with the land, when we eat in season, when we protect our water, something deeper is restored within us. Rosana Alvarez is a trailblazer in sustainable agriculture and community empowerment. As founder of Vía Orgánica in San Miguel de Allende, she has created a model for regenerative farming that nourishes both people and the planet. Through her leadership, Vía Orgánica has become a hub for organic food, environmental education, and grassroots activism. Bringing together farmers, chefs, and citizens to reimagine a healthier, more connected future for Mexico. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
