For a Healthy Planet: Reaffirming Our Shared Commitment
November 26, 2024
Greetings, I hope this letter finds you in good health and spirit.
As a longtime supporter of Organic Consumers Association (OCA), you have played a key role in our work towards a healthy, just and regenerative planet. Your activism and continued support is invaluable, you have carried us to many victories!
Today we are reaching out to reaffirm our shared commitment to healthy food, living soil, and a healthy planet. We are grateful for your partnership. Please join us once again in strengthening our shared vision. Your continued contribution is crucial to our collective progress.
Each victory is a stepping stone toward the healthier, more just world we envision—a world that you play a fundamental role in shaping.
Our weekly newsletter is packed with information that the corporate media channels often pass by. Going out to 350,000 people each week; it is an important tool in keeping people educated about issues that have been subject to censorship or given little attention in the mainstream media.
Our social media channels have over two million followers and reach millions every week. Utilizing our extensive social media outreach has proved to be a strong foundation for connecting people, building our network and keeping our issues forefront in the public eye.
As more people are becoming aware of how corporate power is controlling our health and the health of our planet, our network is growing!
We offer tools to educate and empower people to take action, ask questions, and through our weekly action alerts, use their power as consumers and citizens to directly communicate their concerns to elected officials and corporations on issues that matter most to them.
In addition to addressing these issues with individual citizen actions, we file lawsuits directed at large corporate companies to force them to stop unhealthy or environmentally devastating practices.
We are a major funder for Regeneration International, our sister organization, dedicated to promoting and accelerating the global transition to regenerative organic agriculture and land management practices, by working with a network of farmers, scientists, businesses, activists, and policymakers worldwide. Every year we produce the People’s Food Summit, with voices from around the world, fostering collaboration, sharing success stories and exchanging knowledge on organic regenerative farming projects and practices.
Organic Consumers Association also funds our other sister organization, Vía Orgánica. We have an organic regenerative farm school and training center located outside of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. In our Mexico City office we work on food security issues, anti-GMO activism and network with activists throughout Mexico.
We invite you to visit the picturesque Vía Orgánica farm school to learn more about regenerative farming. For more information please contact us at info@viaorganica.org. We offer accredited programs and workshops teaching regenerative organic practices, including the Billion Agave Project, a groundbreaking climate solution co-pioneered by OCA founder Ronnie Cummins.
At OCA’s home office in Finland, Minnesota, we also run the beautiful North Shore AgroEcology Center, where our mission is to trial, demonstrate and promote bio-regionally appropriate regenerative farm designs, techniques, technology & products through on-site research/education, workshops and assisting new farmers in the region.
As an important member of our movement, we ask you to contribute by making a donation so we can continue our policy work, education, activism, litigation, and outreach, as well as increase the size and power of our network. Our cause thrives on the generosity of supporters like yourself and every contribution makes a real, tangible difference!
We have many ongoing initiatives and have a reputation for maximizing the value of the dollars we spend. We pride ourselves in how much productivity and connectivity we manage to achieve within our budget.
We’re thankful for the creative ways our supporters give back, including tax-efficient giving methods like Donor Advised Funds and Qualified Charitable Distributions. To explore these options, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Judy, our member coordinator, at 218-226-4164 for more information on giving options.
You can also email donations@organicconsumers.org or go to our donation page on our website organicconsumers.org.
Your support fuels our mission—it is the sunlight that nourishes the seed.
We invite you to continue your activism as part of our community of dedicated supporters by pledging a donation today. Together, we’ve achieved so much, and with ongoing support, imagine how much more we can do!
Thank you once again.
