Small-Scale Farmers Cool the Planet!

The current climate crisis is urgent, but solutions to address it already exist: small-scale farmers can cool the planet as they feed the world. Contribute now to help us at Fair World Project spread this message of hope and promote critical work!

With your contributions, we’ll distribute a new image created by political artist, Favianna Rodriguez especially for this campaign and complete and distribute our short documentary, featuring Vandana Shiva and other food sovereignty luminaries, on how small-scale farmers can mitigate climate change through regenerative organic agriculture.

Fair World Project works to create a just economy that respects our environment and treats all people with dignity. This requires conscious production and conscious consumption. We believe education is the way to get there and are dedicated to spreading big ideas that support key projects in this endeavor.

Small-scale regenerative organic farming uses widely available and inexpensive methods. If we switched all agricultural practices to follow this model, greenhouse gas emissions that propel climate change could be significantly reduced and we could sequester 100% of current carbon dioxide emissions. But to do it, we need to stand with small farmers. To achieve a critical mass of support, we need to get the word out.

And this is where YOU come in. We commissioned renown artist and cultural organizer Favianna Rodriguez to create a beautiful work of art illustrating this message of hope. Favianna's art depicts the planet with naturally cleansing sunflower petals. It shows farmers opening their hands releasing seeds and the seeds turning into water. A community celebrates the farmers that can feed the world through regenerative organic growing methods represented through vegetables and fruits. Your contributions will allow us to spread this image widely with posters, t-shirts, and our own publication, For a Better World.
