  Sawyer Hill Birth offers childbirth education (Brio Birth and other classes) and labor support (doula services) to women and families in central and eastern Massachusetts -- particularly the Metro West area of Greater Boston and eastern Worcester County. Childbirth classes include brief introductory sessions; condensed courses for experienced parents or women late in pregnancy; and comprehensive Brio Birth courses with 24 hours of class time. Courses cover: how the body works and emotions change during pregnancy; how to eat and exercise to keep your body and baby healthy; various choices in care providers and places of birth; many different ways to relax; what the parts of labor look like; how to support a laboring mother; how to work effectively with both your partner and your birth team; the aftermath of birth; nursing your baby; taking care of your newly expanded family.
