  The word “doula” comes from Greek and means “woman caregiver.” The concept of a woman present at a birth to support the laboring mother and her partner has existed for centuries. As a Doula, Krassi accompanies women in labor to ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. A Doula can provide reassurance and perspective to the laboring mother and her partner; make suggestions for labor progress, and help with relaxation, massage, positioning and other techniques for comfort. Doulas are usually independent and self-employed. As your Doula, Krassi will be working for you, not your caregiver or hospital.
