So providing knowledge, emotional and physical support to a birthing woman and her family is what I do as a birth doula. * I help a birthing woman and her partner understand their choices and options by providing as much information as they desire so that they can make, informed decisions, for their labor and birth. * I act as a liason between laboring women, their partner, and clinical care providers by providing an objective view point. * I help create a calm, safe and relaxing environment by using all of a laboring womans senses to create a special place for the birth of her baby.
