  As DONA-certified birth doula, I educate parents about natural childbirth, teach labor position and comfort techniques, and provide physical comfort and emotional support to them during the birth of their child. While I believe that childbirth is an extraordinary natural process that typically requires little or no intervention, I provide labor support to women who desire intervention-free births as well as those who are open to medicated births. My fee is $550, and this includes two prenatal sessions, assistance in writing a birth plan (if desired), support during labor and after the birth, as well as one in-home postpartum visit. I also can provide breastfeeding and newborn care guidance, if desired.
