Farmers Markets

Connecticut is finally waking up to Farmers Markets. We need to eat more fresh food not something shipped from miles away. I, myself, like organic which is not always available but I will go out of my way to purchase organic vegetables, meats and dairy. I try to grow as much as I can on my shady acre. I cannot however grow everything that we like to eat. I hope we will never have to do without our Farmers Markets again. Thank you all you farmers out there.

Dispose Properly

I have been helping to clean up a Land Trust Property. I can not believe how people treat other peoples properties. We removed truckloads of junk and what was worse, grass clipping with pesticides on them where dumped in large quantities. You can emagine the smell. This properties ecosystem is being ruined by careless neighbors who think they can just dump their junk on this property. At home we mulch our grass and only use compost or organic products on our lawn as not to polute the environment.
Please be kind to the earth.
